Finance Manager

Job Description

Establish and institutionalize processes and procedures to periodically receive, review and analyze financial reports of companies in which the group managing director sits on the board of directors, providing him with required assistance in carrying out his duties effectively.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

·         Contribute to the formulation of the business objectives of the company and develop annual and medium term financial plans to achieve approved objectives.

·         Formulate, document and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance overall profitability for the company. Establish control objectives and initiate efficient and applicable accounting processes and organizational controls including administrative and financial authorities to meet control objectives.

·         Direct and supervise the accounting, finance, financial control, treasury, and management reporting functions of the company.

·         Analyze company operations to identify opportunities and areas that need to be reorganized, down sized, or eliminated.

·         Plan, direct, coordinate and control the operations of the finance and accounting function. Meet the statutory requirements and ensure accurate consolidation, presentation and auditing of the company’s financial reporting to acceptable international standards in collaboration with external auditors.

·         Provide leadership, empower and build the capabilities of staff in the finance team to achieve performance criteria. Pave the way for their growth and promotion, ensuring adequate succession planning.

·         Lead the identification and implementation of appropriate financial and accounting software systems within an approved IT strategy.

·         Liaise with banks and external auditors for all subsidiaries.

·         Board reporting, preparation of consolidated reports.

Occupational Skill

The candidate must process proven expertise in financial management including: general accounting, finance, treasury; planning, forecasting, budgeting and control systems, financial analysis and reporting. He must have experience in introducing and implementing responsive computerized financial accounting systems. He should possess planning, organizational and analytical skills. Must be an articulate communicator, possessing oral, written and influence skills.

Preferred Occupational Experience and Background

The candidate must demonstrate experience of 15 years or more in financial management with at least 5 years experience in a senior financial management role in a recognized / reputable organizationally developed company/ institution.

 

Relationship Manager (for a subsidiary company)

Job requirements

·         Acquire new profitable business relations that meet Company’s credit standard and various regulatory requirements.

·         Grow and manage existing relationships while establishing new market places.

·         Conduct regular client visits to ensure full and complete engagement with new and prospective clients.

·         Promoting the Company and development of business through interaction with the external business community.

·         Liaise closely with credit and client administration to ensure proper credit and documentary standards are met.

·         Manage and monitor the credit health of existing business relationships from inception to protect the company from potential credit defaults.

·         Assist in the investigation and collection efforts of the company.

·         Price and structure deals to create an efficient and effective new business & marketing effort.

·         Contribute to the development of a comprehensive and effective marketing strategy for the company.

Skill / Qualifications

Minimum years of professional experience: 2-3 years of experience in assessing and supporting unsecured facilities/banking arrangements for small-midsized companies (annual turnover of => USD 10M).

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to understand market dynamics and work in a challenging environment.

Ability to independently manage relationships.
